| For a long time I used (and sometimes still use) the Thoth Crowley Tarot deck for both magic and actual readings. For a time I used PsyCards for both readings and magic - www.psycards.com I've used the Gypsy Oracle cards for readings exclusively on and off. They've gotten a bad rap on Amazon, but I like them - www.amazon.com/Gypsy-Oracle-Cards-Lo-Scarabeo/dp/0738713066 Since its release, I've been using Card Shark's www.card-shark.de Medieval Tarot Deck and I have the Heirloom deck in order. I have a solid and effective reading/demonstration with the Medieval deck and you can read about it here - www.eyesandminds.com/links.htm My readings are ususally short and fun, I don't get into any heavy stuff, but mostly I perform what I like to call "demonstrations" displaying how mysterious Tarot cards truly are.... What about you? What are your favorites Tarot (and such) cards? |

| | I used to use the Original Rider Waite deck, but earlier this year I switched to the Universal RW deck. The one I really like the look of is the rather unusual Tarot of the New Vision |

| I have both the Rider-Waite deck and the Medieval Deck those are my 2 choices of Tarot as of now. For some other types of regular playing card routines, I will be ordering the Heirloom deck from Christian as well before too long but I also have a nice old (but are in excellent shape) Russian Palekh deck that has gold trim from the 60's that are gorgeous and perfect for some things that look like these:

| I use the Thoth Deck for personal readings but when reading for others I prefer the Rider Waite tarot. I have several sets of cards, some are only used occasionally & some I have not used at all other than to study them, but they are nice to have if the right situation presents itself. For instance - I have a set of Egyptian cards that look as if they are printed on parchment. I'm still not sure what I will use them for - but who knows? _________________ Sapere Aude |

| i'm working on something at the moment that'll let you give readings, enrique enriquez style more than anything else - but will contain no tarot cards whatsoever, and will get more people interested -especially those who are "against" the tarot... they won't even be aware of the reading in the traditional sense because of how its framed..i'll post more later when the basics are in place... |

| For those of you learning the Tarot, this may be a "learn quick" option - www.mental-list.com/psychicdvd2.htm
I have the above DVD from Blair Robertson in Canada and I like it a lot though when I got it a few years ago I was already doing readings and was familiar with the Tarot.
I also do regular playing card readings like the Gypsies. I have an ebook I took off the market called Cartomancy Overnight. Which is based on Blair's system of learning to read quickly (some of which is based on older knowledge). If you get the Tarot dvd you'll know how to adapt his system to regular playing cards. |

| When reading for others I use either the Medievel Deck from Card Shark or the Morgan Greer. My Morgans are the first deck I started with and they look beautifully, naturally and genuinely aged now. I sometimes like the Osho Zen and the Crowley Thoth for personal readings. I wouldn't recomend the Morgans for a beginner though, even though I started with them because of the influence of a guy who used them that I respected, because he used them. The best beginner's deck in my opinion is the Universal Waite. I don't have that deck but if I was starting over then I would. |
